My Experience As Your Connecticut Newborn Photographer

Your baby's safety is my top priority as a newborn photographer. I have attended various trainings from renowned educators in baby posing and safety, and I have many years of experience working with babies both professionally and as a mom. I will care for your newborn as tenderly as I would my own. I love photographing all ages and stages, but the newborns have a special place in my heart!

Booking A Newborn Photography Session

Newborn photoshoots are best done between 5-21 days of age to capture those tiny features and priceless newborn expressions. I recommend reserving your session during pregnancy, ideally by the start of your third trimester. A deposit secures your booking. After your baby arrives, we’ll confirm your session date.

Your experience begins with a personalized consultation designed to thoughtfully plan every detail of your newborn portrait session. During this time, we discuss your vision, aesthetic preferences, and how you imagine displaying your artwork in your home. From color palettes and styling to the overall tone of your portraits, each element is carefully curated to ensure a seamless, elevated experience and timeless images that feel uniquely yours.

Your booking includes access to my beautiful curated collection of wraps, backdrops, props, and accessories in your choice of color. 2. The Newborn Photo Session

Your newborn session is designed to feel calm, spacious, and entirely baby-led, allowing each moment to unfold naturally while every detail is thoughtfully taken care of for you

Unhurried, baby-led photography with four-plus hours built in for feeding, soothing, and breaks
Complimentary professional hair and makeup for mothers, ensuring you feel confident and beautifully photographed
Parents, siblings, and grandparents welcome, creating meaningful portraits across generations
Eight or more thoughtfully styled setups, offering beautiful variety while maintaining a refined, cohesive aesthetic
A comfortable, spacious studio environment designed for relaxation, complete with a coffee and snack bar so you can unwind while I gently work with your baby

During the reveal:

Personalized curation — Together, we review your gallery and highlight the images that best capture your baby’s essence.
Guided selection — I help you thoughtfully choose artwork and products that will become heirlooms in your home.
Exclusive presentation — Your portraits are revealed in a calm, private setting over a 1–2 hour unhurried session, allowing you to fully absorb and appreciate each image. There’s no rush—every moment is designed for reflection, connection, and thoughtful decision-making, so you can select artwork that truly resonates with your family.

Newborn Photography FAQs

When should I book my newborn session?

I recommend reserving your session during pregnancy, ideally by the start of your third trimester. After your baby arrives, we’ll confirm your session date. If you decide you would like a session after the baby is born, I may have availability and will accommodate if I can!

What do I need to bring for my newborn session?

Not much! I recommend bringing extra formula/pumped milk, a pacifier if the baby will take one, and your diaper bag. Otherwise, I have everything we need for the session here in the studio!

My baby is 3 weeks old. Can I still come in for newborn photos?

Absolutely! Babies can be photographed for newborn sessions up to 6-8 weeks. While the ideal timeframe is 1-3 weeks, I have photographed numerous older babies who have done fantastic! We may not be able to get every pose you would try with a younger baby, but regardless we will capture a beautiful gallery for you!

How long is the wait time until I receive my digital gallery and finished products?

Wait time for the digital gallery is about 3-4 weeks. Once you approve the edits, I will then go and design your products, consulting with you to customize them. After products are ordered, it takes 2-3 weeks for processing and delivery.

Do I need to decide what I would like to purchase when booking a newborn session?

The only thing you need to decide before booking is if you would like a mini-session or a full session so we know how much session time to allow for . Otherwise, no need to decide until you have viewed all of your images.You buy only what you absolutely love!
