Connecticut offers coastal views, gardens, historic architecture, and wooded parks for family and maternity portraits. The right setting depends on the season, the light, and how comfortably your family can move through the space. Here are locations to consider when we plan your session.
The castle offers a unique medieval-like architecture with beautiful views of the Connecticut River.
Known for its picturesque rolling hills, charming small towns, and vibrant fall foliage, this region is a photographer’s dream.
I especially love Topsmead State Forest in Litchfield. The lighting there is absolutely beautiful and the estate is well-kept and gorgeous year-round.
A serene beach with scenic views, especially beautiful at sunrise or sunset.
Mystic Seaport Museum offers a maritime setting, but a portrait session requires advance arrangements. Its photography policy distinguishes visitor snapshots from commemorative and commercial sessions. We would confirm approval and the applicable terms before choosing it for your portraits.
New Haven offers distinctive architecture. For a session on Yale property, we would first confirm the location and approval through Yale’s photography request process. Gallery admission does not establish permission for a professional portrait session.
A popular spot for beach photography with scenic coastlines and a range of natural beauty.
This picturesque garden is the perfect location for photos. It is well maintained with beautiful florals and architecture.Â
The waterfall and surrounding natural landscapes make for beautiful outdoor photography.
A lovely spot for capturing waterfalls, streams, and woodland scenery.
The historic carousel, statues, and wide open spaces are great for a mix of nature and architecture shots.
Elizabeth Park is home to gorgeous tulip and flower gardens. It is a great location throughout the spring and summer months. It is especially beautiful during rose season, with bloom timing varying by year, and an ideal location for your family, child, maternity, or senior photography session!
We will consider walking distance, terrain, shade, seasonal color, and your children’s routines. Before settling on a location, we will check current access, opening hours, and any photography permissions needed.
