Baby Y brought a sunny personality to his first birthday session at Portraits by Chaya. His gallery combined baby portraits, photographs with his parents, a cake smash, and a cookies-and-milk bath—different ways to remember this moment in his first year.
We chose blues and teal tones that complemented his complexion and photographed him on two different sets. A selection of props and changes in position gave the gallery variety while keeping the colors connected. His parents joined him for a few photographs, too, making space in the collection for this family milestone.
Baby Y enjoyed his cake before we moved on to a cookies-and-milk bath. His cheerful expressions shine through in the photographs. These little reactions are part of what makes a first birthday gallery personal: the session tells us something about who your baby is at one.
Your planning consultation is a chance to discuss the colors, set ideas, and family photographs you would like. A birthday theme can be the starting point, or we can build the styling around a palette you love. Tell me whether you are drawn to simple portraits, a cake smash, or a combination, so we can discuss the right plan for your baby.
